Cambodian Children's Trust (CCT) is a secular, non-profit Cambodian NGO working to enable children in Battambang to break free from the cycle of poverty and become educated, ethical and empowered future leaders in their communities.

The Opportunity

The Preschool Teacher and Primary School Teacher will work alongside with CCT children, CCT education team, social worker team, medical team to promote CCT beneficiary children’s positive behaviors, school attendances, and learning outcomes. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the education achievement program.

What your day will look like 

These roles support Education Department work for CCT through providing classes to CCT beneficiary preschool and primary children and Identify students who require support with their learning outcomes. In addition, you will work to motivate student and boost them to reach achieve the target in term of education. Below are the details for the above description role:

• Bachelor or associate degree in Education is priority for the recruitment
• At least 2-year teaching experiences in primary school
• Strong ability to promote CCT beneficiary children’s positive behaviors, school attendances, and learning outcomes
• Proficient in Microsoft Offices: Word, Excel, Power Point, internet and email
• Be able to work as a team, manage work priority and deadline, and work under pressure
• Be reliable, accountable, persistent, flexible, enthusiastic, work ethics, and highly committed to education work to serve the vulnerable children

• Child Welfare Support
  • Look after children during the working time and any special events
  • Instruct children on personal hygiene practices and self-care
  • Cooperate with medical team in the children health affairs
• Class Teaching
  • Create lesson plans, tests and relating teaching, learning materials including education games
  • Do all relate teaching administrations in hard and soft also online
  • Develop incentives to promote the class attendance of the children
  • Develop and manage student behaviors in the classrooms
  • Develop and management classroom environment
  • Teach the students to improve their learning outcomes according to their public school performances and needs
  • Manage teaching materials and assets of the classrooms and centers
  • Work to replace other education staff during their holidays or leaves
  • Actively deal with relevant work challenges
  • Keep records of all relevant teaching and learning materials
  • Monitor and track work progress and present the information to education department
  • Do the required reports which are asked by the Education Specialist
• Organizational Development
  • Cooperate well with education and CCT staff
  • Participate in relevant meetings and training programs assigned by Education Specialist
  • Involve in developing the competency-based learning curriculum and new learning materials
  • Involve in the development of strategy, action plans, budget plan, and initiatives of education department.

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in CCT education program. Moreover, you will be able to gain either the teaching experience or NGO education system. You will also be skilled at carrying out day to day administration of school administrative tasks and other tasks assigned by Education Specialist.
