• Develop and implement National Modern Trade Plans which meets the objectives of Modern Trade and consistent with NVC’s objectives.
• Evaluate and analyses market dynamics, trade channel and key account performance in order to provide recommendations and solutions to further enhance Modern Trade performance. This includes a detailed understanding of consumer behavior, utilizing the various tools available e.g. RES, CD, and RCS etc. to assist in implementing strategy.
• To contribute in the development of nationwide marketing programs in consistent with the trade merchandising policies and space management practices by channel and outlet type in order to achieve the maximum in-store visibility of the key strategic brands.
• To contribute in the development of POS, In-store and communication materials in order to achieve maximum awareness, standing and imagery of strategic brands in the priority trade channels within approved budgets and timeline.
• Establish close working relationships with the trade in order to gain high levels of trade support and loyalty whilst enhancing understanding of the trading environment.
• Assist the account handlers in the development of key trade customers through the formulation and implementation of account strategies and plans in order to maximize volume and share performance.
• Manage financial accounts and assets for the channel to ensure that trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
• Provide trade marketing information and reports on performance and accounts to ensure that the Head of Sales, the key account handlers and the brand marketing team are fully informed all times.
• Owning responsibility for the execution, and performance of all activities designed to increase presence and ultimate sell out.
• Responsible for management and monitoring of Trade Marketing investments aligned to budget set.
• Manage and evaluate trade promotion levels to achieve maximum returns
• Establishing channel strategies and implementing the associated plans.
• Development of a trade promotional plan with key customers and channels
• Working closely with key customers to provide category and shopper insights to drive performance.
• Putting in place, monitor and improve processes to link all Marketing activities with the activities of the Sales Modern Trade.
• Responsible for Modern Trade / Category Management process & solutions with external & internal customers to grow the categories.
• Ensuring alignment across the Sales and Marketing organizations on field sales needs and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure implementation of the agreed marketing plan are well rolled out through the strategic markets and channels (visibility, merchandising and availability)
• In Market; customer & shopper analysis to show how brand is performing in market vs. competitors
• Effectively monitor and keep tracking on the allocated trade budget which involves Promotion to Trade and Discount
• Keep track of the movement of the competitor, related categories, channel and customer development and update to the distributor and team to derive with a strategy and plan.
• To participate and support any teamwork activities
