Fondazione ACRA is an international NGO with more than 40 years of experience implementing developing projects all over the world. In Cambodia Fondazione ACRA is implementing an EU funded project aiming at reducing plastic bag use and improper disposal. Within the framework of this project, ACRA will launch a comprehensive Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) Campaign that will be disseminated through Mass and Social Media platforms as well as through interpersonal activities to be conducted at local markets in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. To complement the team of 4 people that will work at local markets, ACRA is currently looking to hire an experienced of below position.

Job Summary:

The Market Field Officer will be in charge of promoting sustainable behaviour that will lead to plastic bag reduction among vegetable and fruit vendors of local wet markets. She/he will directly responsible to the provision of the training and orientation that are an integral part of the interpersonal activities foreseen under the Behavioural Change Campaign. Over the duration of the campaign (9-13 months), the Market Field Officer will provide, together with other team members, training to 1,200 vendors from 8 different markets. It is estimated that the position will be based for 60% at Phnom Penh Markets, 20% at Siem Reap Markets, 10% at Sihanoukville Markets and the remaining 10% at ACRA office.

The Market Field Officer/Trainer will work under the supervision of the Project Officer.

• BA in business, education, social sciences, development.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in similar position like field officer, trainer, community mobilizer etc.
• Proved experience in provision of training at grass root level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Lead the organization of the training sessions (recruit vendors, secure appropriate space, liaise with market chiefs, organize logistic of training sessions)
• Train vendors following training tools and manuals provided by ACRA.
• Develop pre & post training assessment
• Build relationship with trained vendors and monitor their progress throughout the course of the campaign.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of incentives schemes for vendors and consumers

Terms of Contract:

9 months contract with possible extension.

Salary:

$500-$700/month based on experiences.
