Job Requirement :
  • CPA required and Experience from Finance Banking.
  •  Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration or a closely related field.
  •  Minimum five years Finance and Banking work experiences
  •  Proven capability for effective use of computer systems, including spreadsheet, word processing and accounting software; ability to operate ten-key and type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  •  Must be flexible with ability to work hours necessary to complete the responsibilities of the job. Hours are governed by staffing and corporate accounting needs.
  •  Maintain high standards of confidentiality and honesty.
  •  Strong analytical skills; ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimum assistance.
  •  Well developed interpersonal skills to be able to represent Avamere Health Services in a professional manner that will enhance its overall image. Accounting staff must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the Avamere Health Services staff, as well as third parties external to Avamere.
  •  Ability and willingness to treat fellow employees in a manner consistent with Avamere Health Services policies and procedures.
  •  Overall responsibility for planning, managing, led monitoring and evaluation work in accounting and ensure the proper implementation of the procedures in the workplace.
  •  Participate in human resource planning, organizing leadership in the field of skills and evaluating results, encouraging workers to participate effectively and responsibly in their roles, and identify weaknesses to address and improve on time.
  •  Participate in the selection and development of human resources in the field of expertise in accordance with knowledge, skills, company roles and conditions.
  •  Participate in a well-defined and well-functioning work plan and organize and assign jobs to the subordinate workers to be responsible for the work size.
Job Duties :
  •  Manage staff accountants, review journal entries and associated backup. Review financial statements for accuracy. Review reconciliations for reasonableness, accuracy and timely preparation.
  •  Train staff on procedures and software, including Espresso, Data Warehouse, Asset Keeper and other software necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  •  Assist with documentation and implementation of new lease and revenue accounting standards.
  •  Responsible for the implementation and accounting for construction projects.
  •  Assist with year-end, cost reports, and other periodic audits, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations requested by auditors.
  •  Provide support and training to bookkeepers at facilities.
  •  Maintain and reconcile a variety of ledgers, reports and account records; examine and correct accounting transactions to ensure accurate recording, balancing and classification of income and expenditures to proper accounts in accordance.
  •  Assist in the preparation of complete, accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management staff, area finance managers, external auditors, and financial institutions
  •  Assist in the preparation of miscellaneous reports and schedules to accompany financial statements for management staff
  •  Review various tax reports (Provider Tax, Business and Use Tax, Labor and Industry reports) and appropriate journal entries for the related accruals as necessary.
  •  Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the activities of the accounting department; recommend changes in accounting systems and procedures.
  •  Assist in the development of desk top procedures to document instructions for recurring tasks
  •  Act as back up for Facility Controller in their absence.
  •  Provide technical assistance and training to other accounting staff.
  •  Performs related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Facility Controller, Controller and/or CFO.
  •  Excellent communications/verbal skills (written and oral) in order to effectively problem solve with other employees as required.
  •  Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures and their application to a variety of accounting transactions and problems.
  •  Knowledge of financial research and report preparation methods and techniques as well as the ability to prepare a variety of complex financial statements, reports, and analyses.
