Trade/Sales Spending Management

•  Lead understanding of different business models and their impact on TTS
•  Decision support on TTS by integrating customer/channel strategies, external competitive context and growth targets
•  Provide underlying financial rationale for defining clear, structured TTS blocks and challenge consistency with Channel / Customer strategies
•  Shaping of trade/sales incentive plan target and performance management to assure alignment to company targets
•  Implement in year dynamic resource allocation thru insights across channels/ customers
•  Robust analysis on Trade Term spends vs Forecast to mitigate TTS creep
•  Implementing risk analysis and management including TT Risk Assessment (vs CD Standards)

Accounting and booking

•  Trade Accrual Management Analysis & reconciliations, support control & audit activities.
•  Month end TTS closing and balance sheet controls for relevant accounts

Decision Making Support

•  Partner with CD to understand and apply the drivers of growth model. Engage with Partners on key business issues, ensure aggregate plans align with Unilever strategy/targets and make recommendations
•  Constructively challenge, engage business partner on key business issues & make recommendations
•  Constructively challenge partners on S&OP risks & opportunities and quality of plan
•  Deliver sharper analytics and challenge for improved S&OP/forecast (accuracy / bias )
•  Decision support on customer / vendor growth plans (e.g. scenario analysis for terms of agreement)
•  Complement and provide input to finance for non-finance training for CD partners to improve financial skills and confidence

Information management

•  Leverage external information (retailer, competitor go-to market analyses) to derive go-to-market insights/actions
•  Use information to drive insights to improve business performance
•  Standardise information and performance management decks: Minimize ad hoc analysis/reporting, simplify the language of information
•  Reinforce Information security

Credit Management

•  Establishing credit risk management framework including Credit Policy
•  Setting of credit terms / limits based on risk assessment.

Distributor Financials Management

•  Ensure terms offered to Distributor have financial rationale 
•  Analytics on Distributor ROI to identify improvement opportunities

Return on Investment

•  Drive ROI in CD community for all promotion investments via role as “enabler’ in initial stage and move to “Challenger” when system established
•  Support development and implementation of trade promotion management tools to maximize benefits delivery
•  Simplify financial tools & evaluation to improve accessibility
•  Assure consistency, rigor and clarity on ROI measurement and calculation
•  Continue to support business partner on making optimal choices and provide financial evaluation in a transparent manner
