Introduction :

The Indigenous Community Support Organization (I.C.S.O) is a local Cambodian not-for-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan association established to serve the public benefit. Registered with Minister of Interior in Cambodia on July 13, 2006; #840-MoI. ICSO is a NGO implementing projects to support, strengthen, empower, and improve the capacity of indigenous community organizations and ingenious groups to participate in the promotion and protection of the indigenous rights to land, natural, cultural and traditional resources to enhance IPs livelihood and welfare. ICSO is working in the northeast provinces of Cambodia, Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri and working with indigenous people network in other 13 provinces where indigenous peoples resident.

Job Requirement :
  • Degree in general management or social work required, plus three years of experience in project management. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the basic requirement.
  • Basic knowledge of issues associated with child right.
  • Basic knowledge of community based child protection in principles and practices.
  • Good in English, both spoken and written.
  • Good organizational skills including strong attention to detail.
  • Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, electronic mail and internet (Microsoft preferred).
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively, tactfully and diplomatically with a culturally diverse group of people.
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity, and commitment to a high standard of accountability.
  • Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork and cooperation.
  • Sensitivity in working with indigenous people and multiple cultures and beliefs,
Job Duties :
  • Provide leadership in facilitating and coordinating project management, following values-based holistic community development and integrated approaches with communities; to ensure the quality of technical content and management processes of the projects that are undertaken
  • Work with Community Facilitators and local authorities in the implementation of project activities.
  • Work with Community Facilitators and government officials to provide training to child labor monitoring committees (CLMC), Saving Group, commune councilors and child peer educators.
  • Assist the Provincial Program Coordinator in developing action plans for implementation.
  • Work with Community Facilitators and government officials to provide counseling services, select the victims and vulnerable children to provide scholarship for education, vocational training.
  • Keep records on project development and verify the project implementation status with progress reports before submitting to provincial program coordinator.
  • Assist Community Facilitators in conducting case studies, developing action plans, field monitoring, internal evaluation, co-mentoring, preparing emergency requests.
  • Provide supervision of Community Facilitators, CLMC, Saving Group, and local groups to improve the technical skills, service and field practices at the community level.
  • Monitor projects in the assigned geographic area to ensure effective implementation and accountability.
  • Identify and assess suitability of like-minded organizations and agencies as partners of ICSO.
  • Maintain regular communications and reporting to the Provincial program coordinator.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
